RST Relations

This section presents the Procedural Semantics specified for RST Relations in our approach. RST originally defines relations for the use in a monologue. For the use in the Discourse-based Communication Model the relations have to be redefined for dialogs. RST distinguishes between two types of RST Relations. The first type is called multinuclear relations and relates 2 to n branches. The second type is called nucleus-satellite relations and relates exactly one Nucleus and one Satellite. First the multinuclear relations are
explained and afterwards the nucleus-satellite relations. For each RST Relation the definition according to RST is presented before the definition for dialogs.
